Sophia Wabosha

Sophia Wabosha has a Bachelor's degree in Film and Media Studies from Moi University and a certificate in Project Management. She has a diverse background in project management, communication and catalysing social impact. Her career is dedicated to community development and groundbreaking solutions.

A staunch advocate for social change, Sophia has a wealth of experience at the forefront of philanthropic endeavours aimed at uplifting the underprivileged. As a co-founder of Give for Good Kenya (G4GKe), she champions three indispensable pillars: quality education, gender equality, and reduced inequalities.

Sophia's indomitable influence on the community is unmistakable. Through G4GKe, she has provided direct mentorship to over 150 young girls, extending to them invaluable guidance and opportunities they may not have otherwise had. She played an instrumental role in establishing a community library that has transformed her locale into a vibrant epicentre of daily learning, effectively bridging educational disparities. Notably, her initiatives, such as the Menstrual Health and Hygiene Programme, have had a profound impact on numerous young women, addressing immediate needs and eradicating period poverty.

In acknowledgment of her unwavering commitment and exemplary leadership in the realm of social change, Sophia was honoured as a 2022 Mandela Washington Fellow. She stands as a dynamic professional who continually steers tangible change, all the while vigorously promoting quality education and gender equality.
