Let’s spread warmth and compassion this Mandela Day
For Mandela Day this year, the MRF is donating 50 blankets to U-turn Homeless Ministries.
U-turn has spent over 25 years helping homeless people get off the streets, becoming rehabilitated and eventually finding employment.
We invite you to join us in making a difference by providing essential warmth and comfort through a simple gift of a warm, durable blanket to those in need, particularly those facing homelessness at this time.
The blankets are made locally from 100% recycled materials, by Rewoven, an innovative startup passionate about sustainability. Rewoven is co-owned by an MRF alumni Esethu Cenga (South Africa & University of Cape Town, 2017).
The blankets will be donated to people facing homelessness in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
A standard blanket costs R225.
