Edward Keenan Jacobs (South Africa & Stellenbosch University, 2021) was interviewed on ENCA’s The Last Word with Shahan Ramkissoon to discuss South Africa’s Government of National Unity (GNU). Esethu Cenga (South Africa & University of Cape Town, 2017) is co-founder of Rewoven Africa, a startup focused on recycling textiles to cut down on fashion waste. Dr Jessica Ronaasen (South Africa and Stellenbosch University, 2013) is a part winner of the 2023 Äänit Prize. The funding has helped expand the The Do More Foundation’s EAT LOVE PLAY TALK programme to 42 early childhood development centres in vulnerable communities across South Africa. Musa Kika (Zimbabwe & University of Cape Town, 2015) is a human rights lawyer. He was recently part of the Institute for Integrated Transitions’ High-Level Roundtable, which convened 25 prominent judges, legal experts, and delegates from the region to review the draft Global Guidelines on Apex Court Appointments and discuss their application and uptake in the southern Africa region.
