Adrian Ommamu

Kenya & University of Cape Town, 2025

Adrian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Production, from the University of Nairobi.

During his time in college, he co-founded The Fountain, an online publication where, as Editor-in-Chief, he led efforts to deliver stories that resonate and inspire change.

Adrian also launched Leadership Lens; a student-led initiative focused on promoting transparency in campus leadership. Through The Leadership Lens Show, he produced interviews with student leaders from 12 of the university’s 13 campuses, giving students a comprehensive view of each leader's achievements, challenges, and impact. Professionally, he has been privileged to work with global companies working on projects across Africa and Europe.

He is particularly keen on using his knowledge and understanding of business, technology, language, and communication to create and contribute to solutions that drive positive impact across communities and industries.

Through the Mandela Rhodes Foundation Program, he will be pursuing a Master's in Media Studies.

He hopes to deepen his understanding of African leadership while honing his skills in impactful storytelling, innovative problem-solving, and civic engagement. He looks forward to connecting with like-minded peers who are equally committed to transforming the continent and collaborating with them on solutions that address pressing challenges.
