Bonga is a Chairperson of Ikhala TVET College Council, National Deputy Chairperson of the TVET Governors Council and also Chair the National Research Foundation Funding Panels while being a Research Associate of Rhodes University among other governing boards on which he sits. He is a founder and Managing Director of Lugaju Innovations and an Executive Director of Blackboard Energy, both operating in East London.
