Catherine is a communications professional with a bachelor's degree in Communication and Public Relations from Moi University, in Kenya.

She is pursuing a master's degree in strategic communications at the University of Johannesburg. As an undergraduate student, she volunteered in AISEC project in Uganda and mentored young women and girls.

Catherine currently supports Zawadi Africa Education Fund as a volunteer. As a way of giving back to her community, she contributes her skills in finance and program implementation at The New Hope CBO, a community-based organization that offers scholarship opportunities to children in the Mukuru slums.

She is passionate about mentoring young girls, focusing on financial literacy, making healthy choices, and understanding sexual and reproductive health. In her free time, she enjoys reading, blogging, hosting and serving in church.
