Chisina Joshua Nduku

Zimbabwe & University of Pretoria, 2025

Chisina holds a BA Law from The University of Pretoria in South Africa as well as and an LLB.

The Zimbabwean born scholar is a research assistant for the Centre for Human Rights and a tutor in the Department of Public Law at The University of Pretoria.

He is a member of the University of Pretoria's Moot Society where he has competed nationally, regionally, and internationally receiving awards at all three levels.

His current portfolio includes being the Editor-in-Chief of the Pretoria Student Law Review.

As a strong advocate for human rights, Chisina will be pursuing an LLM in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa.

He hopes to gain a better understanding on how human rights can be adapted, to work on the African continent with and end goal of ensuring that more people enjoy the rights they are entitled to.

Away from academia, Chisina has a passion for sport and fitness. He is an active club hockey player regionally. In 2022 co-founded the Saggitus Hockey Club in Harare, Zimbabwe which has provided training for young aspiring hockey players and has seen many of its members go on to play for the national men and women’s teams.
