Dunga Mashilo
South Africa & University of Pretoria, 2024 Dunga Matholo Mashilo holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Law) degree (first class) from the University of Pretoria (UP). She is completing a Bachelor of Laws degree also at UP. Dunga is a learning designer at DINEO Pact and has designed learning journeys with a global leader in DE&I, challenging corporate executives to reimagine inclusive workspaces. In another project with a leading financial institution in South Africa, she developed a learning journey that promotes authentic and intersectional leadership. Learning changes people in extraordinary ways and she feels privileged to work with a team that pivots this change in significant spaces. She is driven by creating and developing spaces for people to become impactful leaders that build a more equitable society. Dunga is an avid debater and mooter. She believes that these spaces equip people to pursue a more just society with curiosity, critical thinking, and creative strategies for problem solving. In debate, she coaches high school learners, a Gauteng provincial debating team, and serves on the Gauteng Schools Debating Board. In Moot Court, she has won and coached several international human rights moots, and served as Vice-Chairperson of the UP Moot Society which ranked first in Africa and third in the world during her term. As a Mandela Rhodes Scholar, Dunga will pursue a Masters in International Human Rights Law. She hopes to nourish spaces that facilitate tangible and meaningful access to justice for marginalized communities.
