Erick Siwango

Tanzania & University of the Witwatersrand, 2025

Erick graduated with honours from the MS Training Centre for Development Cooperation (MS TCDC) in Tanzania, a Pan-African institution renowned for its excellence in capacity development for social transformation.

He also holds a bachelor's degree in governance and development.

As a first-generation university graduate and growing up as an orphan, he has overcome numerous challenges, navigating life with hope and unwavering strength.

While at university, Erick emerged as a dynamic organizer and leader within student organizations honing his skills in advocacy and mobilization.

Erick's innovative approach to addressing community challenges earned him the prestigious Youth Enterprise Award in East Africa through his work with Digital Opportunity Trust.

He has worked with the Global Social Movements Centre (MOVE) in Tanzania where he collaborated with grassroots organizations and social movements across Africa to foster people power and build resilient constituencies advocating for justice, equity, and social change.

Through his efforts at MOVE, Erick continues to champion solutions that tackle economic and social development challenges while amplifying the voices of marginalized groups in decision-making processes.
