Faith Ageno
Uganda & University of Cape Town, 2025 Faith graduated from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda in Community Psychology. She is a passionate advocate for social justice who empowers marginalised communities by providing essential mental health support and advocacy, enabling individuals to overcome trauma and socioeconomic challenges. Her impactful work at Hope for Justice played a crucial role in the reintegration of over 300 child survivors of human trafficking. Through her involvement in the Global Fund to End Modern Slavery-Addressing Child Trafficking and Slavery project, she empowered more than 100 families through positive parenting training, mental health awareness campaigns, and income-generating initiatives, fostering economic stability, and community resilience hence creating safer homes for children to thrive. In collaboration with Global Grassroots, Faith designed and implemented a social venture that significantly increased girl child education rates by 80%. This initiative tackled pressing issues such as teenage pregnancy and school dropout rates in rural Uganda-fishing communities particularly, creating pathways for young girls to succeed.
