Frank Uche Mike Ogwang

Frank O. Mike is a legal professional with a Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB), majoring in Environment and Natural Resource law, International Law, and Diplomacy. His post-academic journey has been defined by an unwavering commitment to policy advocacy, particularly in the context of Uganda's environmental, social, and governance policies. He firmly believes that these policies serve as crucial instruments for advancing development and steering Uganda towards middle-income status.

Frank is the team leader and co-founder of the Greenery Environmental Research Centre Uganda, a youth think tank dedicated to rigorous environmental research, climate justice, and effective policy advocacy. His work reflects a forward-thinking approach, as he is deeply committed to being a part of the solution to the complex social and environmental challenges facing society. Community well-being and environmental sustainability lie at the core of Frank’s vision.

In his prior roles, he served as Vice President of the Student Guild Council at Uganda Christian University and Speaker of the Student Guild Council at the Law Development Centre, Uganda. These experiences have instilled in him a deep-seated commitment and a profound desire to contribute to a brighter future for Uganda, particularly in the realm of governance challenges.

His hope as he starts his journey in the MRF leadership program is to be an advocate for informed policies, good governance, and community well-being, as these are the cornerstones of a prosperous and sustainable Uganda.
