Glory Awa-Oyom
Nigeria & University of the Witwatersrand, 2025 Glory is a communications strategist who channels the power of communication and media to drive education, empowerment, and social equity. Glory holds a bachelor's degree in philosophy from the University of Nigeria, where she became the first female non-technical lead of the Google Students Development Club. She extended her leadership as a volunteer with She Code Africa, a non-profit organization empowering women in tech across Africa. As a Communications Strategist with Intersex Nigeria, Glory led impactful media campaigns advocating for the rights and well-being of intersex persons and working to end Intersex Genital Mutilation. Her work amplified the voices of intersex persons, making their struggles and triumphs visible on both national and international stages. After overcoming a personal health crisis, Glory founded Health Harvest, a public health initiative dedicated to leveraging education to improve health outcomes for marginalized communities. She is passionate about ensuring that everyone has access to quality healthcare, recognizing that good health is the foundation for a life of dignity. Glory is currently pursuing a master's in public health, where she continues to deepen her expertise in public health while building her leadership skills to drive even greater social impact.
