Karabelo Seapi

Lesotho & University of Cape Town, 2025

Karabelo graduated with a Bachelor of Laws-LLB (Hons) from the National University of Lesotho.

Her passion for justice is deeply rooted in a commitment to both economic rights and human rights, advocating for their essential role in empowering communities and driving meaningful change.

Karabelo has served as a Puisne Judge and Students Attorney at the National University of Lesotho Students Judiciary Committee, where she helped uphold the rule of law on campus.

Her leadership as the Southern Africa Regional Secretary for the African Students for Liberty Leadership Team showcased her advocacy for liberty, combining the pursuit of human rights with economic empowerment.

She currently interns with the International Human Rights Lab in Lesotho, where she actively contributes to advancing human rights protection and aligning domestic law with international standards.

In addition to her legal work, Karabelo supports youth empowerment through her involvement with Climeks Marketing Company and Youth Alliance Holding, where she helps youth-led start-ups navigate compliance and legal standards.

Karabelo is a Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) alumna.
