Kathleen Mpofu is from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. She graduated with her LLB degree (Cum Laude) at Nelson Mandela University.  Throughout her undergraduate degree, she took part in various extra-curricular activities and was on the executive committee of a number of societies. She was on the Dean’s list and won numerous academic awards including the 2016 Spilkin Final Year Award for outstanding academic and leadership performance and the Phatshoane Henney Group Honor Medal.

She completed her Masters in International Trade Law (with distinction) at the University of Cape Town where she developed a keen interest in international trade and arbitration.

She is currently doing an internship with the International Council for Commercial Arbitration at the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague, Netherlands.
