Kim is currently working for the Western Cape Government (WCG) Department of Social Development as executive support and project manager in the office of the MEC. She is pursuing a MPhil degree in Social Innovation at the UCT Graduate School of Business as a Bertha Centre Scholar. Her research aims to assess the WCG Youth Café programme in terms of the Capabilities Approach, which is a developmental framework concemed with the holistic development of human beings. Kim aspires to become a Capabilities Approach specialist.
