Lineo Mile
Lesotho & University of the Witwatersrand, 2025 Lineo is a researcher, author and creative with a BA (Hons) Global Challenges degree from the African Leadership University in Rwanda. She advocates for local input in decision-making and the creation of pathways for marginalised communities to actively contribute to addressing the issues that plague them. With experience in undertaking development initiatives in Lesotho, she recognises the value of Indigenous Knowledge Systems. She seeks to explore their potential synergies with contemporary institutional knowledge in crafting policy measures. She also employs feminist approaches and gender-sensitive methodologies to investigate barriers in indigenous knowledge that impede socioeconomic and techno-political progress for vulnerable and underrepresented populations. As a researcher at Analytica Research Hub, she successfully managed a portfolio of multisectoral projects assigned by national, regional, and international organisations, including IFAD, WBG, EU, UNDP, GIZ, and OECD. Lineo enjoys spending time perfecting her serve in the tennis court, enjoying laps in the swimming pool, or attending live poetry and music shows.
