Mary Kgabi
South Africa & University of Johannesburg, 2020 Mary Kgabi holds a National Diploma in Small Business Management and a BTech degree in Operation Management. Her qualifications were obtained at the University of Johannesburg. " Mary is currently enrolled for an MTECH in Operations Management at the University of Johannesburg. In addition to her academic appetite Mary serves as a member of the board of directors for the IBASA YC (Institution of Business Advisers South Africa Youth Chapter) as a fundraising officer. She is a member of the Women’s Property Network, an organisation dedicated to advancing the success of women in the Property Industry. During her time at the University Johannesburg Mary was a member at Enactus, an organisation dedicated to creating a better world while developing the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders and social innovators. She served at Enactus for a period spanning from 2012 to 2014 holding different portfolios (project manager, fundraising officer and deputy president). Mary is the founder of Phia Knitting, a clothing company that seek to tell stories using its clothing designs. She has worked for different industries namely, the education, steel and more recently for the property industry where she was responsible for marketing and leasing student accommodations. Mary believes in township development through the improvement of local SMMES, educating residents on governance and their responsibility as residents, and the improvement of township education. She is passionate about the concepts of leadership, entrepreneurship and the healing of psychological wounds in society.
