Nada Ben Jemaa

Tunisia & University of Cape Town, 2025

Nada is a graduate from the American University of Beirut (AUB), with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with a Minor in Political Studies, under the MEPI Tomorrow’s Leaders Scholarship.

Nada started her career in international development working with The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UN-ESCWA) and the Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs in Lebanon.

She later joined the international human rights organization “Avocats Sans Frontières” in Tunis and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

She is currently conducting research on technology-facilitated gender-based violence and its impact on the mental health of survivors in Tunisia with the Johns Hopkins University – Bloomberg School of Public Health Gender/GBV Accelerator Fellowship.

Nada spoke at the 2017 Global Youth Forum where she presented the UN General Assembly with her assessment of gender equality in Tunisia and the challenges facing the Sustainable Development Goal #5.

She co-founded Lebanon’s first Roller Derby team and was invited to participate at the 2017 Roller Derby World Summit in Manchester, UK.
