I am a lecturer in musicology at the University of South Africa. I teach courses in World Music and the Sociology of Music, and am involved in designing an African Music curriculum at the undergraduate level. I am also currently involved in a community engagement initiative through Unisa and the Gauteng Department of Education which provides education in music and visual art for Creatives Arts teachers of schools in the Gauteng province.
