Nkazi Sokhulu has over 15 years’ experience in insurance and banking, having held senior roles at Old Mutual, FNB and founded an insurtech start-up. He is currently the Chief New Ventures Officer at Old Mutual, which is a role focused on forging large-scale partnerships for the company. Prior to re-joining Old Mutual, Nkazi was the co-founder & CEO of Yalu, a credit life insurance insurtech business that won multiple industry awards. During his time at FNB, he was the co-founder and COO of FNB Life that became the fastest growing large scale life insurer in South Africa. During his first stint at Old Mutual, he was a distribution manager and the manager in the office of the CEO. Prior to that, Nkazi was a consultant at McKinsey & Company. He is a University of Cape Town finance graduate and obtained his MBA from Columbia University in New York.
