Nkosilesisa received a BSc Honours in Media and Society Studies from the Midlands State University in Zimbabwe.

She is a film and television writer and producer with productions on local broadcasting channels in Zimbabwe, and various streaming and online platforms.

Her approach to storytelling focuses on sharing nuanced stories and experiences of black women.

Nkosilelisa is a 2022 Mandela Washington Fellow.

By pursuing an MA in Film and Television Studies, Nkosi hopes to continue her work of telling authentic stories that highlight varied human experiences.

She also hopes to build creative ecosystems, so that film and television products can create job opportunities and contribute to the GDP.

Outside of work, Nkosi is a published author and enjoys karaoke and a good cup of coffee.
