Nkosiphile  holds a Bachelor of Social Science degree majoring in Psychology and English Literary Studies, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Cape Town.

Nkosiphile is also a 2019 Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls graduate and a fellow of the Jakes Gerwel Fellowship.

She recently completed her honours degree in Psychology with the hopes of using the knowledge gained in her degree to help improve the South African education system.

As a Mandela Rhodes Scholar, Nkosiphile will pursue a Master’s in Psychology. She aims to use the psychological knowledge gained in her degree to help schools in South Africa become trauma informed. This will help improve the way learners learn and are taught by implementing solutions that focus on how brain development and developmental traumas impact one’s ability to learn.
