Ntsako Mgiba
South Africa & University of Cape Town, 2018 My name is Ntsako Mgiba and I am an optimistic & charismatic young business leader. I qualified as a Mechatronics Engineer at the University of Cape Town and started a Masters in Information Technology that I am still due to complete at the University of Cape Town. My passions include leadership development, problem-solving, disruptive technologies and my Christian faith. I am an intrinsically driven individual, who is always hungry to learn new things and immerse myself in new experiences. I aspire to reach my full potential and inspire others to do the same in their own right. I see the best in others and wholeheartedly believe that with the right support and environment we can all become great. I am the co-founder and CEO of a social tech startup called Jonga. We develop & provide affordable, community-based alarm systems to people living in low-income communities. We exist to serve communities that are plagued by crime and aren’t able to access traditional security. Beyond, running Jonga I also run a YouTube channel called the Focus Millennial, where I share content that seeks to democratise my learnings from leading teams and running a business in the early stages. As a pastime, I enjoy reading, designing and photography. My greatest joys are being a husband to my wife and being someone who my peers look up to and respect. My ambition is do an MBA at Stanford or Harvard one day and to ultimately become the founder of an African unicorn business.
