Liberia & University of Johannesburg, 2025 Patience holds a BA in International Relations and Development Studies from Cuttington University, Liberia. She has developed expertise in Regional Integration and Governance, believing that regional cooperation is essential to unlocking Africa's vast developmental potential. As an advocate for the abolition of the practice of Female Genital Mutilation, she believes that the problem of FGM is not just a Liberia's problem. It requires regional policies to tackle the root causes of FGM. She engages in policy discussions, advocating for regional efforts to combat this harmful practice and promote inclusive governance and regional integration strategies that prioritise women's empowerment. Patience is the founder of Girls and Development-Liberia, an organisation focused on addressing critical issues affecting women's lives, including limited access to education, sexual reproductive health, and menstrual hygiene. She is also a passionate football fan who enjoys reading, writing, and going for walks during her spare time.
