Shandré Hoffman
South Africa & University of Johannesburg, 2019 Shandré Hoffmann completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology (with distinction) and is currently completing her Honours degree in Industrial Sociology- both at the University of Johannesburg. As an advocate for life-long learning, Shandré intends to fulfill her career ambition of becoming a lecturer in an effort to inspire South African youth to the life-changing potential of education. She is passionate about the discipline of Sociology as it has encouraged her to engage critically with the world around her, opening her mind to new ideologies and cultivating an appreciation of diversity. Shandré has received various academic accolades. Noteworthy, she received the University of Johannesburg’s Golden Key Chapter award celebrating academic success, leadership and community service. Shandré attended the 2018 South African Sociological Association Conference at the University of the Western Cape as a presenter and chair of the migration studies PhD session. Outside of the academia, Shandré spends her spare time with her family as they are the foundation of her success. She is a budding equestrian who has competed at a National level on numerous occasions. Shandré commits herself to improving the community in which she lives undertaking various donation drives in order to aid marginalised members of society.
