Sunday Ochai

Sunday Ochonu Ochai is a humanitarian, young leader, and researcher with a passion for elevating Africa to a position of international envy and bringing smiles to the faces of society's most vulnerable people. He is deeply committed to advocating for and creating platforms for disadvantaged children and youth to access quality education and skills, as well as building sustainable livelihoods in resource-limited communities. He has held numerous leadership roles, characterized by love, sacrifice, respect for others, humility, and a sense of servitude. He takes pleasure in lending his voice to those who cannot speak for themselves and firmly believes in the equal treatment of all human beings. Sunday, as a Mandela Rhodes Scholar is an active member of both local and international organizations. He holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (with distinctions), University of Maiduguri, Nigeria; a Master of Veterinary Tropical Diseases (with distinctions), and a Ph.D in Veterinary Tropical Diseases, University of Pretoria, South Africa. He is skilled in project development, implementation, and management, as well as in developing human-centered interventions. Sunday is an Extraordinary Lecturer at the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and an Honorary Lecturer at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Currently, he works with the International Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance Solutions, supporting a range of projects in various countries across different regions of the world. He also has extensive experience in the humanitarian field, where he has worked to build livelihoods and resilience in crisis regions. He is the founder/CEO of ImpactHub for Youth and Children Foundation, a non-governmental organization committed to equipping the leaders of the day and the future to fight ignorance and poverty of every sense.
