My past research has concentrated on analysing the determinants of financial sector development within BRICS to justify South Africa's inclusion. I am a Fellow of the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation and hold a BCom(Hons) degree in Economics from the University of Cape Town (UCT). As a Mandela Rhodes Scholar-in-Residence, I have recently completed a Master of Commerce degree in Finance specialising in Investment Management at the same institution. My Master's dissertation investigated the impact of macro-, sectoral, and company announcements on the empirical distribution of South African equities.
