David Chapoloko

Zambia & University of Cape Town, 2024

David Chapoloko graduated with a degree in Forestry from Copperbelt University and an Agronomy Diploma from Agro-studies in Israel. In 2024 he will be a candidate for the Master of Science in Conservation Biology at the University of Cape Town,

David is well-known for his contributions as a Land Restoration Activist, Climate & Conservation Leader, and Innovator. His work has earned him recognition as a top 10 global 'Land Hero' by the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD).

He also serves as the CEO of AgreeNect Technologies, a platform he established to empower small-scale farmers through digital innovation. Furthermore, David is the founder of Art for Climate Zambia, a social enterprise that has positively impacted more than 150 households and empowered 500 young individuals in Zambia through the Green Development Academy. He is also the driving force behind the influential Passion for Greens organization.

Among his accolades, David has received the 2023 "100 Excellence Action for Global Youth Development" award, the 2022 Zambia National Innovation Award in Climate Change and Smart Agriculture, and the 2020 UNDP Zambia Top 10 Sustainable Innovations Award in Waste Management, among others. As a global speaker, David has made impactful speeches at international events, including the GLF Nairobi 2023 Hybrid Conference, ECO FORUM GLOBAL Guiyang 2023, the Asia-Europe Forum on Green Development 2022, the World Youth Development Forum 2022, and the COP 15 on Desertification of the UNCCD.
